Campaign seeks support to raise awareness of morning after drink driving

The Morning After campaign is seeking a commercial partner to support its vision of producing free resources for road safety teams across the UK.

Founded in 2006, the campaign is widely recognised as the ‘go to’ source of information about morning after drink driving.

More than 40 road safety teams and organisations participated in the campaign between 2010-2019, purchasing resources such as posters, beer mats and social media graphics.

Many more signpost to the Morning After website, which contains a free-to-use calculator advising how long it takes for alcohol to pass through the body.

With the World Cup and Christmas on the horizon – a time when levels of alcohol consumption will increase – the campaign team is seeking a new commercial partner to help further raise awareness of the issue.

Working in collaboration, they aspire to create a suite of resources which can be distributed to road safety teams across the UK.

Edward Seaman, from the Morning After campaign, said: “We are proud of what we have achieved over the last 15 years, working with local authorities to raise awareness of the pitfalls of morning after drink driving.

“However, it is a problem that still very much exists.

“We know that many local authorities are struggling with tight budgets, and that’s why we are keen to explore new ways to continue supporting them.

“A commercial partnership will allow us to invigorate our efforts and potentially make a huge difference up and down the country.”

The Morning After team is also very happy to hear from local authorities who may be interested in creating their own bespoke resources. There a number of resources available to purchase via the Morning After website (which can be personalised).
