DfT maintains SAFED subsidy

The DfT will maintain the SAFED for Vans (Safe and Fuel Efficient Drivers) subsidy for businesses in England until September 2009 (Road Safe News).
 
Launched in 2006, SAFED for Vans training helps van drivers achieve cheaper, greener and safer driving. Since launch, the DfT has committed nearly £2.2m and the programme has trained more than 10,000 drivers.
