Jim Kirkwood, managing director of AA Driving Services, is the first confirmed panellist for the Question Time session at the 2013 National Road Safety Conference.

The 2013 National Road Safety Conference will take place in Harrogate (13-14 November) and is being hosted by Road Safety GB Yorkshire and Humberside Region. The event is co-sponsored by Colas, AA DriveTech and FirstCar.

Jim Kirkwood has more than 10 years in driver safety supported by senior leadership positions within a number of blue chip companies including Kodak, Barclays and Siemens.

AA Driving Services is the AA division that focuses on driving and road safety services for drivers of any age. In his capacity as managing director, Jim’s remit encompasses the AA Driving School and British School of Motoring (BSM), as well as services for corporate fleet risk management and driver offender re-training schemes for many police forces. This gives him an in-depth understanding of the driver training marketplace and how it is developing and changing.

The Question Time session, which closely follows the format of the BBC programme of the same name, is usually one of the highlights of the conference.

Other panellists will be announced as they are confirmed.
