A free online quiz designed to educate children aged 5-15 years about road safety has been launched by E-Training world.

The programme comprises a series of 15 questions with multiple choice answers. It covers topics such as; crossing the road, high visibility clothing, distraction from electrical equipment, cycling helmets, and the legal requirements for wearing seatbelts. Children are instantly told whether or not they have answered correctly, and then given an explanation of the correct answer.

Graham Hurdle, E-Training World managing director and developer of the programme, said: “I am very passionate about road safety and have been involved in promoting it for more than 20 years.

“Our local school has lost its crossing patrol, and my wife recently witnessed an incident where a child was almost run over; so it has brought home to us how important it is to teach young people how to be responsible when walking near a road, cycling or travelling in a vehicle.”

The programme has already been tested and proven to be popular among pupils at a primary school in West Sussex.
