The latest publication in the Good Egg Safety series is the Good Egg Guide to Cycling for Families which will be launched for Bike Week (15 June).
The Guide describes cycling as “the ultimate family activity” which is “healthy, fun, encourages children to be more independent and helps to teach good road sense”. The Guide also says that cycling 20 miles a week reduces the risk of heart disease by more than 50% but that some parents and carers may be deterred from cycling for reasons of safety.
The GEG to Cycling for Families is endorsed by Road Safety GB and CTC and offers tips and advice about how to buy, ride and stay safer when cycling. With many parents asking for help to teach their children to cycle, the Good Egg team describes the new Guide as “essential reading for parents and young cyclists of all abilities”.
The Good Egg Guide to Cycling for Families is available at the introductory price of £1.20 + vat per copy, with further discounts for quantities of more than 500 copies. Click here to view the new Guide and complete the order form, or ring 0131 668 1880 or email enquiries@goodeggsafety.com. The deadline for orders is Thursday 6 June.
