Instructor aims to stop next generation dying

00.00 | 30 November 2011 |

Local driving instructor Anne Morley has teamed up with the road safety charity Brake to stop deaths and injuries on Derbyshire’s roads.

Anne, who has been trained by the Brake and FedEx Road Safety Academy, is giving a presentation about the dangers of driving to 30 pupils at Lady Manners School.

She will explain the charity’s 2young2die campaign, which uses DVDs and websites to get the message across.

Anne says she wants to do more to instil a positive attitude in the young people that she works with. She said: “Working one to one is not enough to combat the peer pressure faced by young drivers. I hope that working through Brake’s 2young2die presentation will give them the strength of character to say no.’”
