The mayor of Leeds, Cllr Jim McKenna, has helped the city’s road safety team issue a summer drink drive warning.
The mayor donned a pair of beer goggles, which give the wearer the perception of being drunk, and underwent the field impairment test to demonstrate the dangers of drink driving.
The campaign was designed to highlight how during the summer months many people drink more without realising it.
The mayor also emphasised the importance of having a designated driver or using alternative transport services to enable people to enjoy safe and responsible drinking.
