Road safety officers are being reminded that there are still copies of the 2013 edition of the FirstCar ‘Young Driver’s Guide’ available for them to purchase.
The Young Drivers Guide, an annual publication, was launched in March 2013 to replace Firstcar Magazine. It covers a range of topics relating to buying and owning a car and learning to drive, as well as celebrity interviews. At 148 pages, it is significantly more substantial than its predecessor.
FirstCar is the brainchild of James Evans, who first had the idea for a young driver magazine while still attending sixth form, and remains publisher today. Since the first issue was published in 2004, more than 3.5 million copies of FirstCar have been distributed among learner and newly qualified drivers.
The mission of the Young Driver’s Guide is “to provide quality information and advice about learning to drive, buying and running your first car, staying safe on the roads and keeping your costs down”.
