An Irish radio station, Midwest Radio, is partnering with the Road Safety Authority and Mayo County Council to run a competition that challenges people to create a road safety radio commercial.

The ‘S Factor Radio Commercial’ competition challenges people to draft a 40 second radio commercial script, with particular emphasis on reducing speed – with cash prizes on offer for the best three scripts.

The winning entrant will then be involved in creating the ad which will be broadcast on Midwest Radio later this year.

The competition is free to enter and the winner will receive a cash prize of €1,500 with a second prize of €750 and a third prize of €500.  Entries will be accepted from individuals and organisations.
