New dates and venues for ADI client centred learning course

Four new dates and venues have been announced for a client centred learning (CCL) course for ADIs which has been developed by Road Safety GB for delivery locally by road safety teams.

In April 2014 the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) introduced a simpler three-grade Standards Check for instructors in order to help learners and their parents identify the best instructors.

Working in partnership with eDriving Solutions, Road Safety GB has developed the CCL course to help the UK’s 40,000 ADIs meet the requirements of the DVSA’s new grading structure.

The course is managed locally by Road Safety GB members who become approved service providers, using ADIs from their area to help with delivery. Road Safety GB ensures that course standards are maintained across the country.

The upcoming dates and venues are: 13-14 August, Nottingham; 24-25 September, Cambridge; 13-14 October, Huntingdon; 19-20 October, Buckinghamshire (venue TBC); and 3-4 November, Peterborough.

The course fee is £140 which includes one year membership of the Road Safety GB Academy.

Alan Kennedy, Road Safety GB business & operations manager, said: "By delivering these courses locally, road safety teams are forging relationships with local ADIs while generating much needed income that can help road safety functions to stay sustainable."
