Buckinghamshire’s ‘Get in Gear’ young driver course is being supported by ‘Young Marmalade’, which provides car insurance for young drivers, packaged together with a range of new or nearly new cars.

Nigel Lacy from Young Marmalade said ”Additional training is an integral part of the Young Marmalade scheme and Get in Gear can help new drivers to ensure they are prepared for their first solo journeys on the open road.”

The Get in Gear course is for drivers who have recently passed their test, and aims to give them advanced skills for driving in towns, motorways and on rural roads. Since its launch in September 2008, more than 100 young drivers have taken part in the scheme. The course consists of a theory session and two two-hour drives with an approved driving instructor.
