NRSC 2024: workshop programme revealed

The agenda at National Conference 2024 includes four workshops which the 330 attendees are invited to pre-register for.

The programme for NRSC 2024 comprises a remarkable 37 Main conference presentations, 34 Fringe presentations, plus the four workshops and the Question Time session.

More than 330 people have registered to attend the conference and a remarkable 34 organisations will be represented at the exhibition which runs alongside the conference – the most exhibitors in the event’s 14-year history.

The workshops are all scheduled for Thursday 7 November as follows:

09.00 – 10.00
Paving the way to optimal rehabilitation for injured road users: the vital role of crash site evidence in civil claims
A discussion of the key role that evidence from collision sites plays in injured road users’ civil claims for damages.

10.00 – 11.00
Mobility scooter users – the forgotten road crash victims
Mobility scooter users have been broadly overlooked as road users, despite their prevalence, vulnerability and despite the fact that many of us will become mobility impaired at some point in our lives and use one.

12.00 – 13.00
An update on the use of AI-driven technology for distracted driving and seatbelt monitoring
Acusensus’ ‘Heads Up’ system has been trialled by 17 police regions, with a wealth of data being captured around underlying driver behaviours and how new technology is being applied to detect and deter bad driving.

14.00 – 15.00
‘Never Have I Ever’
This fun session will dive into road safety practices and explore activities that we do that we probably shouldn’t!
