Presentation will examine use of technology in driver education

The second confirmed speaker for the Young Driver Focus 2015 event is Mawuli Ladzekpo, the co-founder and managing director of Roadio.

Young Driver Focus 2015, which is being organised by Road Safety GB and FirstCar, will be held at the RAC Club in central London on 15 April 2015, courtesy of the RAC Foundation.

The 50 early bird places were snapped up in a little over a fortnight and more than half of the 150 delegate places have now been allocated.

Roadio is a free mobile app for driving instructors and learner drivers, designed to help both sides to manage and optimise driving tuition.

As the son of a driving instructor, Mawuli Ladzekpo’s interest is in the intersection of driving education and technology.

In his presentation, titled ‘Technology in driving education: the present and the future’, Mawuli will explore the ways in which technology such as apps are currently being used in driver education – and preview the new technology and trends that will increasingly shape the way people learn (and teach) to drive in the future.

He will also comment on the factors that explain why some applications of technology have been more effective than others, and give practical suggestions on how road safety professionals can make the most of new technology solutions.

The delegate fee for Young Driver Focus 2015 is just £75 plus VAT for Road Safety GB & Academy members, and £125 plus VAT for other attendees.
