Tesco Dotcom has won RoSPA’s top managing occupational road risk (MORR) award for the second year in a row.

The home delivery division of the UK’s biggest retailer was presented with the RoSPA/Allianz MORR Trophy at a ceremony in Birmingham recently.

Tesco Dotcom’s MORR system begins before its employees even join the company, with driving assessment and the importance of road safety being fundamental elements of its recruitment process.

Its focus on MORR continues throughout its employees’ driving careers, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement through refresher education and training, monitoring, accident investigation and regular reviews of its MORR performance.

Tom Mullarkey, RoSPA’s chief executive, said: “In addition to Tesco Dotcom’s comprehensive MORR management system, the judges were particularly impressed by the firm’s willingness to take every opportunity to share its knowledge and expertise so that others can learn from its experience.”
