The TTC Group has won a contract from Cumbria Constabulary to run national speed awareness courses in the county.

The scheme, being phased in from February, means motorists who stray a few miles over 30 mph speed limits in Cumbria can opt for four hours of classroom education.

The TTC Group is the leading provider of education for drink drive offenders in the UK. TTC director Malcolm Jones says: “Education is the key to cutting casualties even further and we will be working in partnership with police and road safety teams to continue this very welcome downward trend.”
