Walking bus success in Medway

Medway children have put their best foot forward to set an all time record for walking buses in the county.

Figures for July show there are more than 40 walking buses in Medway with nearly 700 pupils on board – a record for Medway in terms of routes and numbers participating.

Cllr Phil Filmer said: “This shows a tremendous effort by the pupils and schools taking part. Walking buses are a great way for children and their families to benefit from fresh air and exercise.”
