Organised by FirstCar, Young Driver Focus is heralded as the most established young driver event in the road safety calendar. It explores the latest research, ideas and interventions for newly qualified drivers.
The 2024 edition takes place at the prestigious RAC Club in London, on 22 May.
The agenda is starting to be announced – and features a session facilitated by Shaun Helman and Jill Weekley from TRL.
The pair will present the findings of a project. carried out with National Highways, to explore the benefits of more on-road practice during the learning period.
National Highways commissioned the project to undertake a rapid review of published literature, and interviews with experts from around the world who have been involved in the implementation or research of measures designed to increase the amount and variety of on road practice in learner drivers.
The work will inform National Highways specifically around the use of the strategic road network in achieving a more varied driving experience in the learner phase.
The full agenda is available via the event website.
