Further speakers have been confirmed for the UK’s first conference focused on road and community safety virtual reality education.
Organised by FirstCar and the ICE Hub, the aim of ICE Live is to increase awareness of this rapidly developing technology, improve understanding of its application in an educational setting and help attendees develop robust delivery plans to include the use of VR.
The event takes place on Wednesday 19 October 2022, hosted by West Midlands Police at their Tally Ho Conference & Banqueting Centre, Edgbaston.
It is being supported by Road Safety GB.
The content of ICE Live 2022 is designed to appeal to a wide range of professionals who are both actively using VR and keen to expand their knowledge and to those who wish to explore the possibilities VR can bring to enhance their educational work.
Among the latest speakers to be confirmed is Dr Devon Allcoat from the University of Warwick.
This session will cover research into using VR and mixed reality (MR) for learning in young adults. Practicalities of using this equipment, and how it can be used for driving safety, will be discussed.
Also on the agenda is Renata Jakovljevic from VIAR Inc.
This presentation will look at the world of interactive 360 VR content. It will show attendees the benefits, challenges, and solutions when it comes to interactive training scenarios in cinematic virtual reality.
Delegate registration is open, with a discounted rate available for Road Safety GB members.
Please note that bookings will be secured on a first-come-first-served basis and there is a maximum capacity of just 250 for the event.
