In support of the Decade of Action for Road Safety, YOURS, the global youth organisation, has launched the ‘Youth and Road Safety Action Kit’ (Driving for Better Business).
The kit, described as the first of its kind, gives young people from around the world free access to information about the global road safety crisis facing their generation, and advice on how to take action.
The kit is divided into three main sections. The first focuses on the global road safety crisis, and why young people are at particular risk; the second is a guide about planning and implementing road safety projects; and the final part is a set of briefings on key actions and processes that can make projects successful.
The kit has been produced with the support of Michelin and the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), with technical support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Unintentional Injury Prevention.
The kit is available to download for free with accompanying training on offer from YOURS.
