Council seeks road safety manager

Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking an experienced road safety manager to take forward the council’s road safety strategy and work programme.

The successful candidate will ensure that these activities contribute to the success of the council’s wider transport strategy and associated projects, taking a lead role on developing partnership working with other key stakeholders. The road safety manager will lead an experienced team, delivering a customer focused service making the most effective use of resources.

The position also includes managing and developing the road safety functions, which include: education, training and promotional services, school travel planning, school crossing patrols, cycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

The salary is £36,313 – £38,961 per annum and relocation expenses of up to £10,000 are available. The application process closes on 10 September 2012.
