The ETSC (European Transport Safety Council) is inviting entries for its second annual road safety at work competition.

ETSC’s PRAISE (Preventing Road Accidents and Injuries for the Safety of Employees) project, which aims to increase road safety in the work context, includes a competition which encourages companies throughout the EU to tackle this issue.

ETSC is seeking entrants who can demonstrate achievements in reducing collisions at work or while commuting to and from work. The judges will evaluate entries based on criteria including evidence of progress, innovation and lasting efforts.

Antonio Avenoso, ETSC’s executive director, said: “I hope this award will spur small and medium sized employers to take on the road safety challenge and reap the benefits of managing their businesses as an integral part of their working practice. Even in such a harsh climate introducing road safety measures makes good business sense.”
