The international development charity Transaid is launching a new Transaid Africa Challenge to help people in Africa gain better access to healthcare and education and safer, cheaper and more efficient transport.
Chris Saunders, chief executive of Transaid, said: “Our Transaid Africa Challenges really do support our work to reduce the 1.2m people killed each year worldwide in road crashes.”
After the success of Cycle Zambia 2009 with £100,000 being raised by participants, Transaid is hoping Trek Ethiopia (4-12th February 2011) will be bigger and better!.
Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of £299 and make a commitment to raising a minimum sponsorship of £3,000.
