FirstCar has announced that the 2017 editions of four of its magazine titles will be available on 1 April, with road safety teams having until 1 March to order customised versions which can include logos, content and signposting to local resources.
In addition to the four magazines – the Young Driver’s Guide, DriveOn, FirstBike and Ultimate Guide to Cycling – FirstCar offers a distribution service to help with the logistics of getting magazines out to establishments such as schools, colleges and CBT test centres.
This distribution service can be usually be provided at no extra cost, with FirstCar even happy to do the legwork of researching and contacting potential outlets.
First published in 2013, the Young Driver’s Guide (YDG) comprises more than 116 pages of information and advice for new drivers covering topics including getting a provisional licence, choosing an instructor and preparing for and taking the theory and practical driving tests.
The guide also covers how to buy a used (or new) car, how car insurance works and how to get the best deal; advice on running a car, including information on essential maintenance, and the key road dangers and how to deal with them.

James Evans, FirstCar, said: “We’re so pleased that our guides have become a staple engagement resource for road safety teams. The 2017 editions are looking great and we hope road safety teams will continue to use them as part of their education and engagement work.”
