Advice and information on tackling occupational road risk will be shared at a free event hosted by The Scottish Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ScORSA)* next month.
The St Andrew’s Seminar will take place in Edinburgh on 25 November to address the dangers of driving for work and find out more about managing occupational road risk (MORR). The event is intended for health and safety professionals, road safety practitioners and others interested in keeping people safe while driving for work.
During the seminar, delegates will gain information, advice and support on MORR policies and standards, the operational advantages of MORR, telematics and driving for work.
Sandy Allan, RoSPA’s road safety manager for Scotland, said: “Unfortunately, more employees are killed in at-work road accidents than in all other occupational accidents combined.
“We are inviting anyone who has an interest in occupational road safety to come along to the seminar and take advantage of a tremendous networking opportunity. We will also be answering all their questions on the day.
“A third of road crashes involve someone who is driving for work purposes, which is why it makes good business sense to manage occupational road risk.”
