The Knowledge Centre was commended in the John Smart Road Safety Award category, which is dedicated to the memory of John Smart, the well-known and popular director of policy and technical affairs at the CIHT who died suddenly in November 2012.

The  Award went to A-one+ Integrated Highway Services for its initiative to simplify traffic management and reduce carriageway crossings.
