Decent start for new ‘Directory’

The ‘Directory’ on the Road Safety GB website is proving popular with road safety professionals and has attracted more than 4,700 views to its homepage since it was launched in April 2012.

The Directory has been set up to help road safety professionals procure road safety related products and services. There are currently 11 categories covering a diverse range of subjects from merchandise to social marketing, publishing, driver training and technology & equipment.

With seven suppliers featured and 334 homepage views, ‘Clothing & Hi-Viz’ is the most populated and most visited category. With 267 views, ‘Driver training’ is the next most visited category.

Sally Bartrum, who administers the Directory, said: “We’re pleased with the start we’ve made but at the moment the Directory is still very much in its infancy. We’re hoping that more organisations will see the potential benefits of a listing in the Directory, and that it will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

To encourage maximum participation the cost of a listing in the Directory has been kept modest. £100 secures a simple text listing, £250 gives a listing with a logo or image, and £500 guarantees top position in any chosen category (subject to availability). All prices are for a 12-month period and exclude VAT.
