Working in conjunction with the DVSA, FirstCar has launched a new free digital guide for learner drivers.
Extending to almost 40 pages, FirstCar Provisional Edition takes new drivers through budgeting for the learning process, structuring lessons, choosing an instructor, learning with parents and how to pass the theory test.
James Evans, FirstCar publisher, said: “For more than a decade, FirstCar has guided new drivers through every aspect of the learning, buying and owning processes. Every year, three quarters of a million driving test candidates receive a copy of both our Theory and Practical editions.
“With more than 1.5 million people getting their provisional driving licence every year it made sense for us to produce something specifically for them. The adoption of a digital platform means anybody can access FirstCar Provisional Edition, and we’ve been able to make it much more interactive.”
Bill Pope, head of publishing for the DVSA, said: “The DVSA has been working successfully with FirstCar for three years in reaching young people.
“Now, with this new, digital edition of FirstCar we can reach them at the start of their driving career – when they receive their provisional licence. It’s when they really feel the need for sound advice and are at their most eager to learn.”
Excellent resource – used First Car before – highly recommend.
