Nominations are being invited for the 2025 Road Safety GB Achievement Award and Community Award.

The Achievement Award recognises individuals who have contributed significantly to UK road safety over a substantial period of time. New for 2025 is the Community Award which recognises the work that goes on in local communities by individuals and groups.

The awards will be presented to the winners on 4 November during the National Road Safety Conference at Wyboston Lakes Resort, Bedfordshire.

The Achievement Award was first presented in 2022. Earlier this year, the award was presented to Karen Cole, recognising her significant contribution to furthering motorcyclist safety during her long career within the sector.

Previous winners also include: Dr Suzy Charman (2024), Heidi Duffy MBE (2023), Mark Cartwright (2023),  David Davies (2022) and Lyn Hesse (2022).

The Achievement and Community Awards will be presented alongside the Road Safety GB Corporate Award, which will be selected by the RSGB board of directors.

Previous Corporate Award winners are Acusensus, Agilysis, FirstCar, GEM Motoring Assist, The Road Safety Trust and Westcotec.

Sam Merison, chair of Road Safety GB, said: “The Achievement Award provides Road Safety GB with an annual opportunity to recognise outstanding contributions to road safety.

“It’s fantastic to also now recognise the work of individuals and groups within communities with the new Community Award.”

Nominations for the Achievement Award and Community Award must be made by a third party, and supported by two other individuals.

The deadline for nominations is Monday 8 September 2025. Full details of how to nominate are outlined in the Awards’ nomination form.
