Road Safety GB has received almost 90 expressions of interest from road safety professionals and academics interested in presenting at the National Road Safety Conference in November 2025.
This eclipses the previous highest total of 70 submissions received for NRSC 2024.
NRSC 2025 is scheduled to take place on 4-5 November at Wyboston Lakes Resort, situated adjacent to the A1 close to St Neots, between Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Bedford. The conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB Eastern Region and co-sponsored by Jenoptik, Westcotec and National Highways.
Already more than 140 people have registered to attend and 17 organisations have signed up to participate in the exhibition which runs alongside the conference.

With regards to the recent call for papers, which closed on 31 March, Road Safety GB has received 84 submissions and a further 5 expressions of interest, with the submissions to follow.
Nick Rawlings, who has helped organise all 15 editions of NRSC since its inception in 2009, said: “We are thrilled with both the quantity, and more importantly quality, of the submissions we’ve received from academics and practitioners.
“The level of interest from potential speakers is further testament to the high regard that NRSC is held in by the road safety profession, both here in the UK and elsewhere in the world.”
The submissions include five relating to e-scooters and micromobility, four relating to AI and road safety and three relating to each of the following: reviewing fatal collisions, Safe System, GDL and in-vehicle technology.
Nick Rawlings added: “The number of submissions means that there will naturally be some disappointed applicants, but nevertheless this is obviously a good problem for us to have.
“We hope to get back to everyone who has submitted before the end of this month, which will then enable us to start building the agenda during May.”
