Older Driver’s Research

12.00 | 3 September 2012 |

With vehicles becoming smarter and incorporating an increasing number of features and functions, the survey is setting out to find out whether they meet the needs of drivers of all ages.

The survey is particularly focusing on older vehicle users (aged 65 and over), including people who have given up driving in the last 12 months. Road Safety Officers are being asked to encourage older drivers to complete the survey.  Road Safety GB is assisting the research by requesting our readers to pass on the survey link to any over 65 drivers they may know.  The findings will be used to help direct future research in vehicle design.

The questionnaire takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and information provided will be held by Loughborough University and stored against a reference number to ensure anonymity. Information will only be used for this research and will conform to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
