The cycle training provider Cycle Experience has become part of the TTC Group which educates more than 250,000 motorists and motorcyclists each year.
Formed in 2006, Cycle Experience is an accredited provider of Bikeabilty with a network of top cycle instructors across the UK. The company works with more than 25 local authorities, public sector groups and commercial organisations to encourage more people to take up cycling. Last year Cycle Experience trained more than 20,000 children and 5,000 adults.
Nick Moon, Cycle Experience director, said: “We know that the most common barriers to get people to cycle to work include not having a suitable bike, lacking confidence and not having the motivation.
“We have a very successful recipe to get people to change their way of life and take up cycling to work and biking for fun at the weekend with their families. It is a healthy way to live and gives people a lot of pleasure.
“We are very pleased to have joined the TTC Group which is a UK leader in road safety and it is a positive move forward for cycle safety in the UK.”
Graham Wynn OBE, TTC Group chairman, said: “More people are taking up cycling every year but as a result there are also more accidents on the roads. We aim to reduce the number of cycling deaths and injuries by educating road users so that cycling can become as safe as possible for everyone.”
