Tyre Safety Month 2013 also includes a new dedicated website, online movies and animations, and as a new dealer locator to give retailers the opportunity to offer local drivers a free tyre safety check.

Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe chairman, said: “Tyre safety month is a fantastic opportunity for the whole industry to support one key initiative and make a real improvement to safety on our roads.

“This year, we’re unveiling the campaign earlier than ever before to give everyone plenty of opportunity to plan their own local initiatives and make it even bigger and more successful.”

The TyreSafe briefing will also include presentations from Cheshire Fire Service, Sussex Police, the Highways Agency and Merityre outlining how they’ve supported previous Tyre Safety Months.
