Delegates attending the 2025 National Road Safety Conference can now register to attend a series of four workshops taking place across the two-day event.
National Road Safety Conference (NRSC) is Road Safety GB’s flagship event. For the past two years, it has attracted almost 400 attendees and has sold out.
NRSC 2025 is being held at Wyboston Lakes Resort, located adjacent to the A1 between Cambridge and Milton Keynes on 4-5 November. It is being hosted by Road Safety GB Eastern Region and is co-sponsored by National Highways, Jenoptik, Westcotec and GEM Motoring Assist.
For NRSC 2025, more than 375 people – already a record number – have registered to attend. In addition, 29 organisations have already signed up to exhibit at the event.

The workshops are as follows:
Applying Behavioural Science to Understand Speeding Behaviours
Facilitated by Holly Hope Smith, SoMoCo
Speeding remains one of the most persistent and high-risk behaviours on our roads, despite widespread awareness of the dangers. This workshop will explore how behavioural science can help move beyond traditional approaches by identifying the real drivers of behaviour and how this understanding can support more targeted and effective responses.
‘Taking the Lead’: a light hearted approach to delivering serious messages around Air Quality, Sustainable Transport and Road Safety
Facilitated by Leon Hamilton, Wizard Theatre
Year 6 is a very important year group to be working with; the transition to independent travelling, when they no longer wish to be travelling with an adult but are still vulnerable, means it is crucial they are reminded of road safety before the leap to secondary school and beyond. Addressing the important issue of air quality and sustainable transport this 30-minute piece is presented by two facilitators; “expert facilitator” and the “distracted facilitator” who plays the “everyman” using music, humour and a sense of fun in order to explore serious topics.
From Insight to Action: Embedding NRSC 2025 conference learning using LEGO® Serious Play®
Facilitated by Dr Elizabeth Box, ECM Research Solutions
Conferences can spark inspiration – but turning that inspiration into action is often the missing step. This reflective workshop is designed to help delegates consolidate their learning from NRSC 2025 and identify practical, personal takeaways they can implement in their own work. Using the LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) method, participants will be guided through a series of structured build challenges that support creative thinking, personal reflection and peer learning. This hands-on approach will help participants surface what has resonated with them the most across the two days, explore how these insights connect to their own context, and articulate specific ways they can apply conference learning to support casualty reduction and road safety outcomes. In the final activity, each participant will build a personal model that captures ‘What I’m taking away from NRSC 2025’, supporting attendees to transform conference insights into tangible, visual strategies for action.
When the pain doesn’t end – support for victims and their families after road traffic collisions
Facilitated by Steven Akerman, Brian Barr Solicitors
This workshop will explore the critical role of early medical intervention and specialist expertise in securing accurate diagnoses and building robust legal cases. It will examine why chronic pain conditions are often misunderstood and under-recognised, the legal challenges of proving them, and how a coordinated approach between medical professionals and specialist solicitors can help victims secure the compensation they need to rebuild their lives. Join the workshop to gain insight into the intersection of medicine and law, and learn how road safety professionals can better identify and support those living with the hidden aftermath of road traffic collisions.
