Prince Michael Awards’ deadline extended

The deadline for nominations for the 2012 Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards has been extended to 6 August.

Organised and managed by RoadSafe, the Prince Michael Awards recognise achievements and innovation which will improve road safety. The most outstanding examples of international road safety initiatives are given public recognition through the scheme.

In 2011, the RAC Foundation won the Premier Award for commissioning a report that ‘stopped the decommissioning of speed cameras’ and ‘saved 800 deaths or serious injuries a year on our roads’. Road Safety GB also received an award for the Road Safety Knowledge Centre.
