The THINK! team has produced a series of six short films which are being posted to the THINK BIKER Facebook page.

The films, which remind motorcyclists of essential riding skills to help stay safe, cover the following situations: entering the motorway; anticipating other road users; negotiating roundabouts; positioning on bends; overtaking; and separation distances.

The first film was uploaded on 18 June and the others are being published over the coming days. The THINK! Twitter account is also tweeting links to the clips.

The clips, which are all under one minute in length, are taken from the DSA’s Better Biking training DVD and are also available on the DSA’s YouTube page.

As mentioned previously on this site we don’t hear as much as a pop from the DSA’s enhanced rider scheme. For me eating pop corn in front of Better Biking films is commendable but no substitute for the real thing. After throwing much of my pop corn at my computer screen in an effort to induce a pop of enhanced rider. I think surely a great opportunity missed by DfT to promote an excellent rider scheme offering cheaper insurance benefits to the rider and more importantly for myself saving valuable popcorn!
