The 2025 edition of ICE Live will take place online on 29 January – with delegate registration now open.
Organised by FirstCar and the ICE Hub, with support from Road Safety GB, the event is the UK’s only conference focused on road and community safety (VR) virtual reality education.
The aim of ICE Live is to increase awareness of this rapidly developing technology, improve understanding of its application in an educational setting and help attendees develop robust delivery plans to include the use of VR.
Speakers already confirmed include PSHE and trauma-informed delivery specialist Joanna Feast, Dr Elizabeth Box, and Ian Edwards. More will be announced in the coming days and weeks, but the firm agenda has already been published on the ICE Live website.
They will cover topics including:
- Review of current research and evidence
- Delivering VR using a trauma-informed approach
- Creating effective interventions
- Evaluating VR effectiveness on a budget
- Use cases for non-immersive VR
- State of VR – practitioner SWOT analysis
The decision to hold this event online has been made to try and make it as accessible as possible – both in terms of travel, time, and budget.
Tickets start at £75 for ICE Hub members, and there is a discount rate for RSGB members. Click here to register.
To support networking, breakout rooms will be in operation during the coffee and lunch breaks.
James Evans, co-founder of the ICE Hub, said: “Following feedback from our last event, we’ll focus on practitioner delivery and explore how VR can be best utilised in that context.
“There are certainly a lot of interesting developments with this technology, but this event will remain focused on how these will affect those delivering VR education within their communities.
“We’re limiting ticket sales to 85 to ensure the workshop sessions are as productive and cohesive as possible.”
